Oct 2, 2008 - Southeastern Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association: 15th Annual Memory Walk

The walkers get ready to take off during the 2008 Memory Walk in South Hill.


The Alzheimer’s Association raised over $16,200 at their Memory Walk to help fight the disease. The top team fundraiser was the Ruby Slippers from the LCAAA Hazelwood House in South Hill. They raised $6,675.00.  Team members were (some not pictured): Danielle Clark, Lynn Kindred, Jean Messer, Jo Ann Powell, Frank Malone, Robinette Reed, Jennifer Wilson, Cory Epps, Elaine Jonas, Stephanie Guzman, Frances Terry and Pat Whitmore.


Prizes for being the first walkers in went to Tommy Zincone and Beth Smith. Hope Zincone (center) with the committee presented the awards.


Prizes were presented to this fine group. The oldest walker was Pearl Hardeman, top individual fundraiser was Jean Messer, and team captain for the top team fundraisers Lynn Kindred.
