Since the opening of the South Hill Farmers Market in 2005, vendors have found this to be a very profitable and enjoyable way of selling their goods. Along with local growers, homemade crafters and bakers are also welcome.
There is a $5 charge for each 10' X
10' vendor space each day for the allotted hours of the Market, and
spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Mondays through Thursdays are the sign up days for vendor spaces
with a cutoff time of 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. No vendors will
be allowed to sell at the Market without a reservation.
Vendors are responsible for providing tables, equipment, shelter and
displays for their merchandise and are responsible for the
collection and removal of all refuse generated from sales at their
space.
Visit the South Hill Farmers Market every Saturday, rain or shine, beginning the last Saturday in May through the last Saturday in October. Operating hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Market is held in the South Hill Market Square public parking lot at the intersection of Mecklenburg Avenue and Danville Street in the heart of downtown South Hill.
The Town of South Hill thanks all the vendors whose
wonderful products make our Farmers Market successful. We
have received many excellent comments regarding the Market. We
take pride in the fact that all items sold at the Market are grown,
baked or crafted
by local vendors, guaranteeing the freshness of the products and
allowing customers the opportunity to talk to the actual producers. Come
and be a part of this exciting opportunity. Please contact
Anna Cratch at 434/447-3191 to reserve a vendor space.
Please contact the VDACS at 540/562-3641 with any regulation
questions. And remember..."Eat fresh.
Buy local!"
